On the 2nd of December in 2008, The National Heritage Boards held their big autumn meeting at the Skandia Theatre in Stockholm. They received the project World Heritage Day for children and teenagers on the Gotland office's medal of merit. Riksantekvarie Inger Liljequist handed out the reward in the presence of the Minister of Culture Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth. The Award was split between the project manager Fredrik Blomgren, the World Heritage Office Gotland, The Children, and Education Administration, and the County Administrative Board on Gotland.

Martina Bäckman Pierreau, Richard Steffengymnasiet, Vendela Blomgren, Solbergaskolan, Erik Törner, Elfrida Endréegymnasiet, and Fredrik Blomgren presented the project together on the meeting.
